Had totally underestimated how comfortable Coffeehouse-Five’s interior would be to hang out in; otherwise we would have visited a lot earlier.   With its impressive molded concrete counter, great window space plus bright fixtures, some seating variety, and bright abstract art on walls,  it possesses key ingredients for relaxed and stimulating conversation.  Sunday’s topics included G’s experience last week leading a meditation retreat in a maximum security prison, the important upcoming GMO vote in Washington, M’s recent viewing of Ken Burns’ documentary on the Dust Bowl, and his conclusion that our country’s leaders have forgotten its important lessons.  740 N.
