Nov. 18, 2018– Good Coffee/SE 12th

The day looked ominous at 8:00 a.m. so only two bicyclist ventured out today.  Thankfully it was dry all the way to today’s Buckman destination, rained pretty hard once we were inside, and was a moderate shower for the ride home.

Good Coffee will soon have four outlets in PDX, with their first two now operating in SE.   While the interior of the shop on Division/47th is a work of high craftsmanship, by comparison this Buckman shop with limited seating has great design lines, but probably does as much take-out as in-store business.  So it’s cozy and looks good, but not a great place for hanging out due to how quickly it can get crowded.

It’s 12 days after the November election, and we’re still in result mode with seemingly daily a different Democrat is declared the winner of a former red seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.  M remains politically active post-election, yesterday attending the Bike Town Hall that State Senator Dembrow and Representatives Keny-Guyer and Warner-Smith organized, and then setting up shop to promote Portland’s new Clean Energy Program at NAYA’s Powwow.   M + H also talked about aches, pains, and test results, a topic which is receiving more air time amongst these boomers.
