On a cold, crisp Sunday morning, today’s six riders crossed the Broadway Bridge into NW, and entered into a dense fog, so thick we couldn’t see the Columbia River below. So surreal and claustrophobic it was, and so magical on the return two hours later when the sun was out and the river appeared crystal clear. We did land safely in NW, having a fun time snacking and jawboning at this Italian themed warmspot.
The core of Umbria is bright with clean lines due to lots of natural light and bright lights around the ample-sized counter. The nook extension to the side has less window space, but is comfortable to hang out in thanks to soft cushioned benches.
Today’s group discussion started with J’s positive report on visiting the Air and Space Museum in McMinnville; talk of Evergreen Aircraft’s former CIA and Nicaragua history; the humorous sharing of successful and unsuccessful Thanksgiving dishes from the past; the outlook for the Timbers playoff games; and positive achievements with regard to a couple of recent renewable energy projects.
