The layout for Barista Pearl is quirky as the shop is located in a small cutout just after entering the Gadsby Building, with most of its seating and tables aligning the corridor that leads to the elevator.   Thus, there aren’t many of the homey amenities we usually associate with hanging out for long periods of time, other than the uniqueness of the setting.   Nevertheless we had spirited discussions on D’s son’s upcoming arrival from Peru, and H’s son’s family’s upcoming year in C. and S.
