Happy Sparrow was a great discovery for us.   It’s a cozy shop that has staked its success on offering a wide assortment of the Czech pastry kolache, rather typical coffee shop offerings.   We liked the kolaches, liked the personable owners, liked the shelves of books and games, and had a lively discussion.   The only downside is that the shop is small and that may be a problem for hanging out when it gets busy.     3001 SE Belmont  http://www.happysparrowcafe.com/Home.php
